Pressure Reducing Station

Feature:

  1. Steam is often generated at high pressure and reduced locally to provide heat for each steam user.
  2. Usually done to minimize the diameter of steam distribution piping and enable more cost-efficient steam delivery.
  3. To ensure maximum efficiency of Steam System.
  4. To generate & distribute steam at highest possible pressure and utilize steam at lowest possible pressure.

Important:

  • PRV to be installed between isolating valves, which are manually adjustable.
  • Pressure Gauge to be installed both inlet & outlet.
  • Emergency by-pass line should be implemented, in case PRV system failed.
